Munguia looks like an Ogre, he looks like he can take a hell of a beating and still come back. Hes going to get schooled for many rounds of the fight, he will probably end up with a face like a butchers block. But with Canelo aging, and his coasting style when he gets in the lead. Can Munguia charge forward and put the hurt on Canelo late on, it will take a heroic effort but he is younger, fitter, hungrier and he can punch. It might be his only chance to win. If we look at Canelos latest opponents, Charlo didnt show any hunger, Ryder was out of his depth, Golovkin was way past prime, none of which Canelo stopped and before Bivol schooled him. Canelo had some good stoppages over light hitting opponents but good boxers like Plant and Saunders, they couldnt hurt him. Canelo does respect the level of his opponents power.
If he can take Canelo's power, or avoid getting hit consistently with big bombs, Munguia may very well steal many of the slow rounds with volume and activity alone. This will get very exciting if it gets to the later rounds!
No. He will get his ass handed to him in less than 4 rounds. I'm predicting a 3rd round KO by Canelo due to Munguia's Swiss cheese defense. He's got a decent chin, but he can't take Canelo's bombs.
