Wasn't going to happen anyway. Most fans think Bivol beat him, so its not marketable.

 

Usyk needs to focus on the bridge weight title. Imagine if he can go undisputed at Bridger, he would be a top 3 ATG like Robinson and Moore

At the moment Bridgerweight is a joke. Perhaps in another 10 or 15 years it'll be a legit weight class, but right now it's just a distraction.

 

I wouldn't mind him picking up BW even if it is just going through motions. That's all he's doing anyway. Who TF does Usyk prove anything to or with? He dominated TF out of CW when CW had some good comp. He dominated TF out of HW when HW had some good comp. Now who's left? Rematches? Undeserving mandos? Oh yeah I really need to see Usyk whoop Zhang now for him to prove he's the best HW beyond any doubt.

He can rematch Danny and get that x2 at HW without ever losing. He can pick up BW and be a 3 weight undisputed. He can shoot back to CW and get that x2 there too, but what he can't do is make an interesting fight because he's dominated the **** out of the talent around his size.

I don't really care, if dude fights some jamook it's fine. If he fights some rematch that's cool too. All I'm saying is people going boo don't rematch, boo don't move weight, ain't offering anything more interesting. Probably because there not a single name in all of boxing Usyk won't be massively favored to beat.

 

I think if Usyk wants to stick around (which it looks like he does), then have the winner of dubois vs Parker fight the winner of bakole vs Kabayel for #1 contender status and fight Usyk. Or have the winner of bivol vs beterbiev fight him at heavy (which seems unlikely currently)

He already conquered cruiser and Bridger is a joke, he's the heavyweight champion, king of the hill he doesn't need those other weight class belts anymore.

 

That is why I always chuckle when people bring up threads about him beating guys at cruiser. He has stayed at light heavy because of the huge advantage he gets from being able to cut down to light heavy. That power advantage hoes away at cruiser.
