It’s not hard to see why he gets hate once you take off the rose tinted glasses.

He was a massive weight bully most of his career beating much smaller men and career seemed to go downhill after Lara. The weight he walked about in was LHW and SMW yet he would cut ridiculous amount of weight to beat up guys below 160lb. Not to mention getting busted for PEDS to make that cutting/bullying easier

In no order but the stuff that pissed me off was fights with

The bum Chaves jnr say no more.

Cotto he fought him for 160 title making the champ come down to 155 just fight at the weight of the division ffs

amir Kahn the much smaller chinny man,

Liam smith another smaller man who he just bullied,

Rocky fielding.. like seriously the guy got stopped in 1 by Smith

Golovkin - Canelo vacated his title rather than fight him to age him out more which was a chicken move the you have the actual controversy in the fights.

Kovalev - he wanted to move up to LHW to become a champ in another division to prove he’s P4P but picks the easiest option in an old and past in kov instead of beterbiev or bivol. He later fought to latter thinking it’s the next easiest option then got schooled fighting someone his own size. Considering an excuse for fighting Charlos saying they aren’t fighting at his weight but he moved up to bivol when they actually walk around the same weight

yildirim the guy eubank junior stopped ffs

since 2014 after Lara where is all the big risks from Canelo all I see is smoke and mirrors and cherry picking. That’s 10 years! Where’s this good grace come from?

The mystery will be revealed today. Some say it's Charlo, some say he's ending the PBC deal and will fight Munguia. We will see, but whatever the decision is, what Brighton Bomber said stands true, that the plan to fight Benavidez as the final fight in the 3 match deal makes sense. You do want to build it, and taking on the Charlos makes sense. The Charlos are big names, many have been calling for those fights for years. Neither Charlo should be considered an easy opponent. Now granted Jermell's performance left a lot to be desired, but he was an Undisputed Champ at 154-lbs. If the criticism of that match was that he was too small and coming from lower weights, despite being seen by many fans as the better Charlo. Jermall is a much bigger guy, and given what he weighed in his last fight, clearly is a full fledged Super Middleweight at this point.

That said, in my view, Munguia is the far more difficult opponent, and I think Jamie possesses all the tools to outlast Canelo, out volume Canelo and win a decision. Jermall is a skilled boxer but I don't see how he beats Canelo given his style. Lets face it, Munguia is an absolute beast, a workhorse who never stops coming forward, throws a relentless volume of punches, and has a chin that has held up throughout his career.

Canelo vs Munguia is possibly a more difficult fight for Canelo than even Benavidez. While Benavidez size and reach poses a considerable challenge, Munguia's fighting spirit is more than that of Benavidez. Jaime is truly a fighter's fighter and I have to imagine Canelo respects Munguia and how he has progressed through the ranks. Certainly a big risk at this stage. While I'm still of the mind that he should fight Benavidez this year, if he fights Munguia, while you could still accuse him of ducking Benavidez, that's a massive challenge in its own right that fans would have to respect.

If he announces today he's fighting Munguia in May, then Bravo. That would be a Mexican Style war. As a fan who wants to see Canelo in an action packed battle, a part of me wants to see him fight Munguia even more than Benavidez. Simply because Munguia hasn't had the kind of issues outside the ring that Benavidez has, just stylistically I think it would produce fireworks. On the other hand, Munguia is 43-0 and taking on Canelo is a big threat to his undefeated streak. Munguia has a very good chance of going 50-0 if he continues on his current war path through the ranks. Canelo could be the one fighter capable of beating Jamie or hurting him.

If he announces he's fighting Munguia that would be massive. Just think about how big that would be. They could probably sell out a football stadium. Hell they could probably sell out Azteca.

Apparently Munguia has challenged him to a fight at Azteca after he beat Ryder.

Could that be the big annoucement?

Remember what I said in another thread ? Youre all in here moaning & groaning about Canelo's cowardice but !!! Youll still buy the Charlo sisters garbage & moan again about it. Only answer is boycott the obvious $$$$ grabbing & the one finger salute to boxing fans by the Ginger diva. You ask to be fleeced by a ginger headed con artist every time you buy his con jobs

Is there a Charlo sister? Seems like Canelo wants to beat down the whole family.

He doesn't have too. The way I see it, he's paid his dues by doing more than most by taking more risks, and now he's just cashing his chips.. yes it's not ideal for us fans, but it's what it is.

Canelo has until March to announce to the WBC what his intentions are in regards to fulfilling his mandatory, if by March he hasn't decided when he wants to fight Benavidez he should vacate or be stripped.

So far Canelo has not committed any foul play, the WBC rules give the champion one year from the day the mandatory is announced.

 canelo's the cash cow child. EVERY fight is a money fight for him. And 'panties in a bunch', what I said you pretty much agree with ASOL...

At the end of the day, the same people that have been crying about Canelo throughout his entire career are crying about Canelo at the tail end of his career.

Canelo is allowed one year to agree to fight that WBC mandatory. One year is in March, so maybe the crying will be more justified in a few weeks if Canelo doesn't decide Benavidez is getting the Golden ticket, but as of now it's just more of the same bitching and crying for the usual suspects. Lol

    What a ridiculous post.

First of the 155 lb catchweight was Cotto's stipulation.

The Chavez fight sold 1 million ppv. It was highly desired by the Mexican market and the ppv sells proved it.

As far as cutting weight, all the fighters do it, not just Canelo. Lol

The rest of your post like I said is ridiculous... lmao!

With everything you're bitching about, Canelo has still accomplished more than most fighters today.

    So there you go buddy.
