Let's see if it actually comes to fruition and not just another "in talks" for a fight that ends up not happening.

Full credit to Garcia if he does indeed face Haney. He knows him full well during the amateur days, although I'm not sure if that's going to help him prepare for Haney this time.

Lucky Ryan Garcia. As he proved when he fought Tank Davis and the PPV buys exploded as compared to Tank's other fights, he is the money man. He has certainly done nothing at 140 to earn a title fight but he is going to bring Haney money so he gets the bout.

If he was realistic in negotiations and didn't expect the lions share he'd always get a big fight.

Nahhh don't think it's gonna happen. Oscar clearly wants Ryan to face Ramirez so it can be an in-house event.

Garcia is a mini cash cow, NO DOUBT this will be a big hit on PPV giving Haney bigger M's in the process. I still think Haney boxes his ears off.

Haney schools him, but I would love Ryan to knock Haney tf out with a blitzing left hook. Linares almost did it.

I am Shocked ryan is taking this fight. However Ryan basically has no choice. The guys on Mayweather side of the street will simply never allow their fighters to fight him with the exception of tank because it was such a huge fight. So his only option for a big fight is Devin

Ryan still hasn't beaten a single world champion yet and his best win still to this day is an inactive Luke Campbell who hadn't fought in a year and a half

To be fair, Haney hasn't ever beaten a single champ remotely close to his size yet either

But why did Haney weigh 165 in the ring for his first fight at 140 and Ryan only weighed 148 for his first fight at the full 140 limit?

If it's true, I'm surprised but impressed that Ryan is going straight for Haney.

Then again, it does make sense, given that Isaac Cruz landed the Rolly fight, Ryan's only options are Haney, Matias or a relative no-name non-title fight, and Ryan definitely doesn't want that Matias smoke.
