Ok, this has been happening just recently, everytime I punch the bag hard it feels like I'm punching concrete, my knuckles and my wrists become very sore.

It never have done this before, I wrap my hands correctly, use grant gloves, I'm punching correctly, and we've been using the same bags the whole time. What else could be the matter?

settlement in the bag maybe, flip it upside down and try moving **** around in it. I just avoid the two spots on mine like that.

Not my bag so I can't mess with it, and it happens on any heavybag that I use in the gym

If you wrap your hands too tightly it will cut off circulation and often cause sore knuckles....used to happen to me.

It's not the wraps I know that for sure, I just feel a sharp pain when I really put some force into my punch

be careful, sore knuckles are usually normal but not too sore to be worried about, slight swelling wouldnt be anything to worry about. your wrists shouldnt have pain, i had a wrist injury before and only recovered after around 6 months, i couldnt throw hooks with either hand for ages, sounds like there could be something wrong with your wraps or else someone has put sand in the bags to make them heavier and the sand has fallen to the bottom half of the bag making it solid, my mate put loads of sand in his punch bag and hitting it with body shots is like punching concrete as you say, my wrists used to suffer on his bag but are use to it now, after a few rounds on this my knuckles are like golf balls

do you only get the pain when hitting the bag? like what about pads or sparring? if you don't get pain when hitting anything else then it wont be the wraps or gloves or an injury just the bag

How often are you hitting the bag, and how long for?

We usually do it for 4 rounds everyday. I only get the pain when I hit the heavybag, but sometimes with the pads if they are the hard ones.
