So there's a big debate about this atm in another instead of keep going back and forth debating about it let's just settle it with a poll.

I know @Dubblechin @BubblesUK @KINGWILDER have been quite vocal about this in the other thread so get those votes in.

    1 Fury Close round

Fury won, to me quite clearly.

Even trying to be biased, I can't manage to score anything better than 113-113 draw for Wilder, and that's a stretch - which realistically means across 3 cards, Fury should've won.

115-111 Wilder is corruption plain and simple.

Fury by 2 from what I can remember but I haven’t watched the full fight back since it happened.

There isn't a big debate. You and I were talking about the scores of Parker-Ruiz and Wilder-Fury 1.

Parker landed 12 more punches against Ruiz and threw 150 more and won a close decision.

Fury landed 13 more punches against Wilder (but Wilder threw 100 more and scored two knockdowns).

I said if Ruiz scored two knockdowns over Parker, even with the same punchstats in their fight, Ruiz would've won 114-112 and 113-113.

Changing the discussion to EVERYONE post their cards has nothing to do with what we were talking about.

Nothing. How does posting your Wilder-Fury 1 scorecards have anything to do with Ruiz winning a decision over Parker if Ruiz had actually scored two knockdowns?

116-110 i think i had it at the end. Literally only gave Wilder the KD rounds.

Actually, just checked, and there were two 115-113 scores in Parker-Ruiz.

So, had Parker still landed 12 more punches and threw 150 more punches than Ruiz in their fight, if Ruiz dropped him twice, it would've ended in a draw, like Wilder-Fury 1

(Except Wilder is the one who threw 100 more than Fury).

It's simple really Ruiz/Parker was a closely contested fight and the judges scorecards were fair down the line.

Most people saw Fury beating Wilder and a draw would be a stretch for Wilder, hence the 115-111 scorecard for Wilder is absolutely baffling hence it's alot more controversial.

    Hope that helps.

How was Wilder-Fury not a closely contested fight? You're the one who brought up punchstats.

How is Parker landing 12 more punches than Ruiz a close fight, but Fury landing 13 more punches than Wilder (and Fury going down twice) NOT a closely contested fight?

    Honestly?

You said Parker was busier (150 more punches thrown), which is why he won. Wilder was busier than Fury (103 more punches thrown) and scored two knockdowns.

The decisions in both fights were fair. I could see someone favoring either.

But enough of the bull that one guy won in a landslide.

I already told you Wilder had 2 big rounds the knockdown rounds where he out landed Fury by 2 to 1 making the stats a bit closer overall, outside of that he was out landed in every round in a mostly tactical fight and Fury won those rounds in most peoples eyes. Hence the 2 knockdowns wern't enough to make up for all the other rounds that Fury won in most peoples eyes.

Regarding the eye test of watching the fight or relying on stats most people believe Fury at worst won 8 rounds.

This fight being a draw is about right for me. You could also give it to Fury by a nick. Not really a robbery like say Haney Loma or Fury McDermott.
Keep in mind the fight would've been waived off by most refs in the 12th.
Idk any other boxers who've been given the benefit of the doubt EVERY single time besides Fury and Ali. Maybe Floyd as well.

9-3 in favor of Fury was my score. Fury put to rest any doubts on who was the better fighter in the rematch. When he actually demolished Wilder

I had Fury wining against McDermott. It was a scrappy fight with many close rounds but Fury won.

    Haney won vs Lomachenko.

I believed Fury won vs Wilder but with the knockdowns, especially one in the last round I think a draw was alright. Morally the fight was a draw. I would hate it if they somehow turned that decision back. It’s part of their story now. The story is better with a draw.

Fury won that fight plain and simple. He out-boxed Wilder throughout the fight with the exception of those two knockdowns. Even if you gift Wilder two more rounds, Fury still wins 114-112. Fury just has Wilder's number. There is nothing wrong with that. However, for Wilder's fanboys to claim Wilder threw more punches and that should be take into account is ludicrous. Just because one throws more punches doesn't make him the winner. You have to take into account whether those punches were effective or not.

Either way it doesn't matter. Fury proved he was the better man in the two following fights.

Just rewatched the fight again - man, this was some amazing boxing from Fury tbh. He's completely shot now compared to the fighter he was.

Fury deserved to win on the scorecards, he outboxed Wilder in all but two of the rounds. But, that being said, with any other referee it would have been Wilder winning by KO. There was a long count, Fury was motionless for a long time on the floor.

The judges were dishonest and favoring Wilder, while the referee was dishonest and favoring Fury.
