    foreman.

in his comeback he looked huge compared to his opponents, big guys like moorer n holyfield.
i think i read somewhere that george believes he continued growing after his first boxing chapter ended to 6'4 n quarter?

A Janitor would come about up to his shoulder.

Holyfield was cocked diesel and ****, but I dont think he was really that BIG.. What was he like 6'1 - 6'2? Big, but not for a heavyweight.

    But yeah..Big George was..Big..hehe

He was always listed at 6'3" during his first career, but during his comeback he was usually listed at 6'4".

I met him in person once in 1999, and I was surprised at how much smaller he was in person. I mean, he's definitely a big guy, but it wasn't like his size was all that overwhelming. If I had to guess his height from my own observations, I probably would have figured about 6'2" tops!

In publishings that predate his comeback, I've seen him listed as 6'3".

In publishings that post date his comback, I've seen him listed as 6'4".

In his 1990's HBO fights, they always had him as 6'4" on the Tale of the Tape.

Fighter's heights can be kind of hard to pin down. Ali was always listed as being 6'3", but he appeared a little shorter than both Holmes and Foreman, both of whom were always pegged at 6'3".

I never understood why he was listed as 6'3". He always looked around 6'4" to me. He's clearly taller (if not by much) than Ali. He's a building next to Frazier. Significantly taller than 6'2" Holyfield. I don't believe all that preaching made him grow an inch.

From what I noticed at the hall of fame weekend, a lot of the "big" men in boxing didn't seem quite so big. Ron Lyle wasn't overly imposing. Gerry Cooney didn't look like he was 6'6 to me, but he was still huge. Earnie Terrell looked big though. His hands were massive.
