    The record speaks for itself.

The guy has fought a lot of names enshrined in the HOF even if he didn't beat them all. Plus his KO to win ratio is one of the highest around.

Some guys like Rocky Graziano won the title, never defended and lost it soon after yet are enshrined.

    What does Ceferino garcia lack?

Another vote for Ceferino here. If there was a special wing in the hall for guys who would fight ANYONE/ANYWHERE, Garcia would be in there with Sammy Angott and Fritzie Zivic, both guys with lots of loses but plenty of great wins.

Garcia's courage and willingness to test himself against the best was amazing and is still inspiring.

Was saying how guys can go in for "excitement" but not for "high level skill" was a silly idea not too long ago. Garcia, I'm not sure he was too "exciting" but he looked that way against Armstrong as he was being forced to with Hank's come forward style. Still the man had skill and I need to see if more of him is available at decent quality on yt. Good thread.

How about Marvin Johnson and Gasper Ortega for induction.

    Two of the best!

I would've had him a long while back. If I'm not mistaken, he taught Mae West the reverse cowboy and the Naval navel. That's first-ballot stuff, right there.

Certainly robbed of victory over Billy Soose whos in the HOF.
This fight was eye witnessed by Budd Schulberg himself.

I'm really hoping they do, so that Henry Armstrong can have at least one 'official' Hall of Famer on his record..

Well then your statement is suggesting he should not be in there as he is not!

His record does not 'speak for itself', it needs interpretation and more important if you want him the IBHOF; cheerleaders...
