Pretty sure you can cast android apps to every modern Samsung tv nowadays. As for value for money, it's way better as the old format in the US/Canada imo. Completely incomparable actually.
Yeah, I meant to get into that more, and forgot. I intended to expand a little more on the idea that I know there are more solutions to get stuff on your TV, but if you lack the technical know-how (as I generally do) that these things, despite often being simple, can come across as major obstacles if you're too old to teach new tricks. On another note Robney - my sincere thanks! Not only do you always provide me with feedback and support on these videos, but you're almost always first to do so, and I want to thank you for that!
Looks like very good value for money at the moment. How long that continues for though, is anybody's guess. They are banking on hundreds of thousands if not millions of subscribers signing up. They will have to to fund the deals with Matchroom and Golden Boy. If they don't get the numbers they need, then their only option will be to put the price up. Is this their plan? To get subscribers "on the hook" and then gradually increase the price? As for accessibility, Robney has already addressed it, but the idea is to make boxing more accessible not less, even to old farts like us Multi-platform has obvious advantages, especially when you're away from home or can't get to a TV. Most streaming services are indistinguishable from satellite/cable these days and work seamlessly, provided you have a good internet/network connection.
It's definitely amazing value for money, not for us Europeans but definitely for everyone from North America. I presume in 2-3 years both ESPN and DAZN will increase their monthly sub price to 12USD and 6-7USD respectively but even then it would be a fantastic deal. It's also a matter of months, max a year before all SMART TVs will have the apps available, there is the option of watching in on your computer or stream the broadcast directly onto the TV from your smartphone. This is GOOD for boxing, the prices of American PPVs are a bloody joke so getting a full year and close to 100 events for the price of two big PPVs is a deal that nobody should pass up on!
Good video rummy. You sound like a guy in a cloth cap who worked in mighty micks gym back in the 70s, it's like listening to a wise sage
ESPN+ has a downfall in a sense that they don't show certain main events, for example Crawford's fight was not streamed. If I pay money I expect the full card. Also not sure Rummy if you included WBSS shows for DAZN in your count and Frank Warren shows for ESPN+
For guys like me, who have never had cable, it's great. Finally, I can count on being able to regularly watch some of the big fights.
I never knew ESPN+ didnt show the same content as ESPN on cable. Kinda crazy that without cable you couldnt watch the crawford fight with an ESPN+ subscription.
They don't have the boxers I want to see. It's for fans on the other side of the street. Taking over that mantle that HBO had is not want I wanted from them. I'm also not going to support anything associated with Hearn at this time for obvious reasons. One thing missing in your video is talk about the actual fights on Dazn. It's because there isn't much. WBSS is in divisions I dont care about for the most part and that's the best they got. Oh and just get a chromecast or something like that. I always use casting to my big screen on a daily basis.
For boixing fans a BARGAIN!! i grab it. The amount of content you get with GBP joining as well and i am sure GGG or Mikey soon. You have the best fighters out there on DAZN
I subscribe to both DAZN and ESPN+ for now but plan on dropping ESPN+. Don't see the value in it. Could have watched the Crawford fight without ESPN+, on plain ESPN. Why pay the money? DAZN seems good if they continue with top fights.
