Do more boxers want to win the WBC belt than the Ring magazine belt?
If you was a boxer, which would you prefer to have?

Both are pretty corrupt. The WBC wants its belts around the waists of Mexican fighters, the Ring goes to Golden Boy fighters.

I think I would prefer the IBF. Not that they aren't corrupt, but they don't have a million belts per weight class and they seem to cross national and promotional lines.

I thought the Ring Belt was the belt that made you THE champion

Right now the Best belt is the WBC actually. It use to be the WBA was the most respected belt a few years ago.

Tyson Fury is the #1 WBC contender and is gonna fight the winner of Arreola vs Stiverne

LOL @ this. The Mexican Boxing Council is a corrupt farce.

These days all of the belts are equally worthless.

Rather have a photo taken of me with a green belt than a gay brown wbo belt, or a red cartoon info belt, or the WBA with its 2 belts

It was until the late 80s when they inexplicably did away with their championship policy. Now it's just another strap.

    1. WBC used to be "The belt" to fight for
    2. WBA was the next best.
    3. IBF was the lesser of the Big 3.
    4. WBO made a name for itself when fighters like DLH, Corrales and a few others would defend it.

Ring Belt was just like an award. In fact it still is just an award.

Now they are the same piece of ****. WBC probably more so, but it has the richest history, nevertheless, they are all garbage.

The WBC is jockying for the most corrupt org out there with the WBA.

The Ring belt isn't a real belt, but usually held in better esteem by fans since only the #1 and #2 ranked people can fight for it.

No, only the lieal title or unification can do that. Anything less and you're just a contender pretending to be a world champion. The WBA is actually the oldest title. It derived from the old NBA title from the 20's and 30's if Im not mistaken. The WBC was and offshoot from the WBA when Jose Suliaman decided to start his own org after being part of and disagreeing with the WBA. Thye IBF, WBO and all other alphabet groups came later. All are corrupt and all are a farce now. You could go by "The Ring" but even they seemed to have been compromised by bias.
