Many people would argue than an older Bernard Hopkins and Wladimir Klitschko were just as monotonous as him, Ali had some stinkers after he beat Foreman as well.

Manny Pacquiao super boring fighter to watch. No complexities in his game , there’s a reason Floyd smashed him in their fight .

Floyd literally stood right in front of guys and they couldn't hit him. There was nothing boring about it. People paid to see his skills on display at an unprecedented rate. Young men on street corners emulated his shoulder roll, pull counter, and jab to the body. He made defense cool.

    He was an icon.

To answer your question, hate to say it but post-suspension Ali was pretty boring.

Ali also had some wars so he was a 50/50 preposition.

Macho Camacho could be boring at times. Pernell Whitaker too.

Carlos Monzon too. And Bernard Hopkins. And Carlos Ortiz, and Duilio Loi. And Emile Griffith.

Pac was one of the most exciting fighters of his (or any other) era.

Regardless of what you think of Floyd, you lose credibility when you describe Pac's fights as boring.

But then, when we consider it's MVC , one of the most egregious trolls of his (or any other) era, who is making the claim, we need hardly put much credibility in the laughable assertion.

Credibility and MVC don't really belong in the same sentence.

I can't believe people like Ali and Griffith are being mentioned roflmao.

I cannot remember being bored by Floyd once, he was absolutely amazing to watch in my opinion. I don't care much for his attitude because I think he's a big mouthed ignorant conceited buffoon, but as far as his boxing appeal he was incredible.

Floyd had borefests nevertheless. His fight vs Victoriano Sosa was boring like hell. More boring fights later in his career too.

Ali was boring in some later fights (Young, Spinks 2 etc).

His fights vs Foreman, Frazier, Bonavena, Norton, Quarry were all pretty interesting.

Wlad had some really boring fights (Ibragimov, Haye, Chambers - till the KO).

    Hopkins later in his career.

It would have to be Wladdy Klitschko because his era was the only one where HW wasn't the most popular division. And if you think Floyd was boring Floyd was around in the same era and people were more interested in and him and co then Wlad so what does that say about Wlad?

LMAO@ people actually comparing Wladimir to Floyd in this regard!

Show me one Floyd fight comparable to Wladimir’s fights against Pulev, Joshua, Peter1 and The First Byrd schooling. Floyd NEVER demonstrated that type of offense. And OFFENSE is what 90% of fans pay to see.

Lots of newbs pulling comments out of their asses.
It says Floyd was highly disliked. Fans tuned in hoping to see a Canelo or Pac or whoever beat him.

News flash. The US is not the entire world and is slipping as the center of the world as I type this. Wlad and the HW div. was very popular outside the US. The Lennox era started the end of the HW div. as US dominated. By the early 2000s the US lost its hold over the HW div. that continues to the present. Currently there's not one US HW in the top 5. In the US boxing isn't anywhere near as popular as it was one and more generations ago. It's been on a downward trajectory for half a century.

Side note. Who's the best US HW now? Anderson (unproven), Wilder (fading), Ruiz (who knows where he's at), Franklin (tough, but limited & has lost vs. top competition). How far US HWs have fallen from the past.

Well Mannys PPV numbers were great too? It wasn't just Floyd and the need to see Floyd lose. Before that there was De La Hoya.

Despite being a newb I recall one of my first posts saying something very similar to what you wrote. And I feel you just made up my opinion on the US's place in boxing when I said nothing to even imply I disagreed with what you were writing.

Rereading your comment I guess I'm oblivious to how boxing in the 2000s and 2010s was viewed outside of the US. That is a fair point to make.
