the federations are at the heart of the problem, and you can't hate on them just when it suits you, then use those same federations (and their belts) to try to make ANY fighter's achievements look better than they really are

 

they probably count the IBO 140 title
even though that would only bring his total up to 6

 

he is pointing out that he hasnt even fought for 8 belts in 8 divisions so his thread is vaid and factual....its not like hes discrediting any titles he actually won

 

He is but at some point even great boxers in the past have fought @ catch weights for a title fight.

 

At 126 & 140 he beat the fighters that were the consensus number one's in their division.

Hatton at 140(IBO title).
Barrera at 126 (Ring Belt).

Now if thats helps him being an eight division Champion its up to you cause i dont care either way.

 

This is a discussion I have with casual fans all the time. The fact of the matter is that when Pac makes it to Canastota he will be recognized as a six division champion. The titles he won @140 and 126 will not be counted. Some boxing fans he really walk their talk and say that they don't care about sanctioning bodies only count the lineal titles he's held @112, 126, 130, and 140. You get 8 titles when you combine the lineal championships and the official sanctioned championships.

I think u forgot featherweight. He won the Ring championship. Many people count that. But this is a good question...what titles do we really count? As I said Canastota will only count the six he got from one of the four recognized sanctioning bodies.
