"I pick George but it would have been a toss-up. Tyson was faster and more explosive but George could hit harder." Mark Young fought:

    Wladimir Klitschko
    Mike Tyson
    George Foreman
    Hasim Rahman
    Shannon Briggs
    Buster Mathis Jnr.
    Lou Savarese
    Greg Page
    Alex Stewart
    Gary Mason
    James Tillis

Just the five lineal champions then.

Also worth pointing out, because i'm always first to whine about them, that the WBC paid for his hearing aids. He's hearing well now after years of problems.

All this from this week's Boxing News.

This must have been on sydication. Ray Mancini and the other dude did a lot of cards that were broadcast on local channels - in my area in was Channel 20 Washington, DC. There was no internet, Cable was finally in most homes.

Agreed, and he fought the dinosaur version of George instead of the 73 wrecking machine Foreman.

But he did say a toss up. Young Tyson stops old Foreman. Prime vs Prime hard to say could go either way a lot of people think it would be a Foreman vs Frazier repeat but Mike and Joe were night and day Mike had ko power in both hands was harder to hit and had insane hand speed. Toss up.

If the refs allows George to push I don't see Mike doing better than Joe. He likely gets frustrated and does something crazy.

LOL, so green borderline Teenager Tyson waxes Young in seconds vs the Mummy version of the "Strongest Heavyweight and hardest Puncher that has ever lived", , according to Forum gospel, waltzes for seven rounds ......................yeah, Young sure is objective, the joke of the day.

Not sure about night and day...both were at base swarmers.

Frazier had a far better chin, easily as good left hook (if not better), incredible endurance and resilience, and with a heart probably only matched by Ali and Holyfield.

Prime Foreman knocks Mike cold in 3 at the latest imo.

Hard to say, young Goerge almost lost to Ron Lyle who did not have the kind of early power that Tyson had. Lyle was slow and landing one or 2 shots, Tyson would be punching in combo's

Older George was too slow for Tyson.

Hard to think Foreman would beat all swarmer's because he beat a less than prime Joe Frazier.

I am not saying he couldn't Big G had a lot of positives but nothing to be certain about.

They were both swarmer types but Mike was much more mid-range Joe like to get closer. Joe had a great chin but not a far better chin in fact Id argue Mikes may have been better plus the early Tyson didnt get hit anywhere near as much as Joe did.

Personally, I think Tyson would ultimately be too fast
