Inoue's gonna be the King of 2 divisions in a 12 month span. That's legend status.

Depends on the divisions, how far apart they are and who you're beating.

He's really good. The guys he's beating aren't.

Where do you have Paul Butler ranked among the all-time bantamweights? How about Tapales and Fulton among the best 122-pounders ever?

Maybe they can have Murodjon or Nery ringside to step in after Tapales gets KO'd.

Well lemme break it to you: Spence is no Wilfredo Gomez, Erik Morales or MAB either. Inoue's is fighting the division's 2nd best & the 2nd unified champion in his 2nd fight at 122 fight AFTER fighting and comprehensively beating the no1 fighter his his 1st, and clearly, Fulton was more so in his prime than Spence was, Crawford's single 2023 entry. That was impressive, but beating the no1 & no2 guys back to back to collect all 4 titles is stuff of legends and one might argue Inoue's resume is already comparable to WC, EM or MAB.

How can someone fight people who retired from Boxing long before Inoue?

Even that common sense is missing in this senile old fool & PBC fanboy

It is like saying Crawford is facing no SRL or Hearns while he was beating Shawn Porter (that was a dodgy stoppage by his dad & Porter retired right after)

A fighter can only fight the best competition available to fight him in his era in the weight division he is currently in & Inoue has been doing that, more than can be said about guys in the so called glamour divisions like Frank Martin. Not only has he been doing that, he has been extremely dominant & never needed the judges or ref's help to win like Floyd did against the legendary skills of Castillo nor was there any demand to run it back against Donaire like the demand to run it back with the legendary Maidana for Floyd. All 25 fights of his are available online & there has never been a fight where you can make the case the other guy won

This is awful logic. Spence was universally regarded as Top 5 PFP going into Crawford fight. Neither Tapales nor Fulton were Top 25 PFP...the discussion really ends there.

The impressive part about Inoue's run isnt his opponents but the extremely short time span between weight classes. That is ****ing remarkable...and for me if Inoue beats Tapales in style he wins FOTY

The sad thing is that Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn on December 23 is a bigger fight than Inoue vs Tapales. Anthony Joshua will even be on the undercard.

    Right.

All people do is bash the "quality" of opponents when fighters are in the higher divisions.

In the tiny weights, fans of those guys just count belts and pretend every champ is the greatest fighter ever.

It's ridiculous. Inoue has fought one guy who may "possibly" qualify for the Hall of Fame (in Donaire).

The rest were all just easily replaceable/instantly forgettable paper champs who weren't even standouts among the champions today, let alone all time.

Inoue is excellent. But basically none of his opponents were.
