Looks good for Wlad 100% of 7 going for Klitschko by KO

 

Briggs tried to pull a Sanders on Lewis and had success for a round or two. I think Briggs out of all HW fighters in the last 15 years would have some of the better chances vs. Wlad.

Of course, 2011 Wlad would be aware of that and be ultra careful during the first couple of rounds. 2003 Wlad would be in trouble though. Still have to go with a late TKO win for 2011 Wlad.

 

2006 Briggs ducked Wlad to sign with DK and get a shot at Liahkovich. He must not have liked his chances. :yep Credit to Briggs, he made the right choice.

 

a prime briggs vs the wladimir that sanders beat also beats that version of wlad..prime wlad against prime briggs goes much the same as lewis briggs only with alot less success for briggs....

 

today's Wlad is much harder to hit the the 2004 version.
He used to be more agressive and much more exciting but often he left himself open to counters.
2011 Wlad beats 2004 Sanders in a long and very one sided bout.

atsch The VLAD that lost to CORY did so because he lacked any proper prep for him . Any version of VLAD distroys BRIGGS . The younger VLAD was a destroyer who would have prepared for the bum rushing BRIGGS and starched him .

I want to know who the clowns are picking Briggs to knock Wlad out.

The dude gets horrifically overrated as a puncher in h2h match-ups.

"He'd knock out Norton in five"

"He'd knock out Patterson in two"

etc.

Anyone with a chin remotely susceptible to fissures is automatically presumed to be a victim of a wipe-out at the ham-hocks of Briggs.

Yeah, OK - he had power. He was still slow (even in his prime) and never all that good technically - and his physique always belied (perhaps even contributed to) poor stamina. He was not some Doomsday-like Superman slayer. He was no destroyer of elites. His power didn't see him through to victory against the exceedingly fragile McCline or Botha over a combined twenty rounds.

Why do people insist on talking him up like some sort of fantasy monster? Is it just Lennox and/or Vitali fans trying to glitter up their man's resume with some vicarious sparkle? :huh

 

2006 Briggs is not prime, dont pretend it is.

(prime) Briggs had a chance to face Wlad too. But he got took apart by McCline who went on to be stopped by pre-Steward Wlad immediately after.

Good take.....how can I change my vote in the poll. I took briggs by KO, but come to think of it, Briggs was always a brwalers, w/o any real technique. The IF factor IRT Shannons asthma is just that.

Wlad TKO or UD over the lionhearted but easily exhausted Briggs in an exciting close fight.
