It feels like there's a lot of members here from the UK, so let's do a top 10 list of the very best these glorious isles have to offer.

This is a list of 21st century fighters, so either the fighter has to have debuted in this century or fought at least a 3rd of his fights during this time period.

    My top 10 is:

    1. Joe Calzaghe
    2. Carl Froch
    3. Anthony Joshua
    4. Tyson Fury
    5. Ricky Hatton
    6. Amir Khan
    7. David Haye
    8. Carl Frampton
    9. George Groves
    10. James DeGale

Considering most on your list are alphabet holders, undisputed World Light-welter Champion, JoshTaylor, is an odd omission!

Joshua over Hatton, Frampton, and Degale is a strange one. Are you scoring them on achievements or boxing ability or other / a bit of both?

    An absolute sack of shyte.

I refuse to read further after looking at number 3 who I rate well below Josh Taylor and Ricky Burns in Scotland, Joe Calzaghe, Enzo Mac and Gavin Rees from Wales, Carl Frampton from Ulster and in addition to your English contingent above, I would have Kell Brook well above Joshua who is on the level with Turbo Terry Flanagan and Terence Harper.

This list should be anyone who has competed in the twenty-first century. Why make up some other inclusion criteria? If someone has two wins that are better than ten or more wins against inferior opposition then they should be on the list. For that reason, Lennox Lewis should be up there.

Scott Harrison was better than both Frampton and Warrington.

It was good bait to be fair to the man at the end of the rod.

As with any ranking it has to be both. Joshua is the 2 time unified heavyweight champion, which is still the most prized possession in the sport. He also had the ability to beat the best his division had to offer. People tend to forget these days that he beat Wlad, Parker, Ruiz when they were all champs and then beat top contenders like Whyte and Takam, along with aged but still very good fighters like Povetkin and Pulev. That's pretty much the entire top heavy division of the mid to late 10s.

Ain't no way Hatton or Frampton trump that let alone Degale.

Just because Joshua is heavier than non-heavyweights it doesn't mean his achievements are better than theirs.

He won his belts off one of the worst heavyweight champions of all time (Martin), picked up a vacant belt after going life & death with a 41-year-old, inactive-for-18-months Klitschko who was coming off a schooling from Fury and a timid Parker. He became '2 time' by running away from an unfit 20 stone bloke because he was scared of getting battered and quitting again.

Frampton unified in his division then jumped straight up to the next weight division and beat a champion there in his very next fight.

Heavyweight is the most prestigious division, and for good reason, but when we talk about achievements there is no sense in crediting someone on the basis that they are a heavyweight. His record is so carefully put together. It's the two-time thing that gets me. Selling someone as two-time when all they did is lose to a pudding to then beat the pudding who was even fatter by running away from him is so weird.

Maybe; I was too young to see him in his prime, I only saw his fights after his long hiatus. I'll take your word for it.
