Trevor Berbick vs Ray Mercer

Id take Mercer at his best to win a decision. Berbick's awkward style would probably be competitive, but would come up short enough to lose rounds. Now if Mercer comes into the fight in poor form I think Berbick wins a decision and "shocks" everyone.

 

Heavyweight X because of Z, H, K via KO because of W weakness to G so yeah.

 

If they both came to fight this could be a fun fight.
If they were both on an off night....

 

You know...Berbick could be knocked out, and Mercer might just be the type to do that.

I give this to Mercer TKO in 8. I think Berbick would be his usual weird self and dodge many bombs from Ray early, perhaps even leading the scorecards. But Ray would catch up to him.

 

I like Mercer in this one, assuming a good version of him.

50/50 fight. You would have to be crazy (or lucky) to bet on this one.

 

If the Mercer that used his jab against Lennox Lewis shows up I believe he stops Berbick. If it's the lesser version a crude sloppy decision will result that could go either way though the power and chin advantages go to Mercer.

 

Berbick to me was better against the top guys he fought than Mercer who had a ceiling for how good he could be... I pick Berbick by close decision.

 

It's almost pointless to have Mercer in fantasy fights because of his consistency. Berbick wasn't spectacular but he was a solid, consistent fighter so I would pick him by decision more often than not.

 

Berbick was inconsistent at his best as well.
