Who would win this fight? If Povetkin gets past Whyte? Povetkin is past prime yes . Im not the biggest Povetkin fan here. I do think this Board overates Povetkin often. But Povetkins IQ is good he hits from certain angles that you don't see coming. Povetkin is strategic strong. Can throw shots with power and good less predictable angles. Not as conventional as Wlad. I like Povetkins chances in this fight.
Because Fury has a habit of getting knocked down by 6'2-6'3 guys, I don't think he's indestructible to guys Povetkin's size. That's not saying for sure he'd win, or that all good short heavyweights could knock him down, but maybe Fury has trouble with small heavyweights, and with Povetkin's cleverness/power maybe he could land a big KO.
Fury coasts to a dull decision, never feeling like he has to pull the trigger. Povetkin belongs at bridgerweight.
Sasha in his recent fights arguably lost to Hunter and struggled badly vs Whyte until the KO. Fury easily wins.
Would be an easy night for Fury. I think it would be so uncompetitive that I wouldn't want it scheduled. Maybe Povetkin could have made it competitive years ago, but not now. Although I'm still not entirely sure what style Fury will use going forward. I'm a little worried he'll use his new aggressive style even in cases where it's not really to his advantage. I hope he'll pick the right tool for the job rather than trying to use his aggressive, come-forward style in every single fight.
This version of Povetkin loses. He's just too old, result vs Whyte notwithstanding. I'd give a prime Povetkin a good chance of the win. The one thing that was really bad for Povetkin was huge guys leaning on him and tying him up and Fury doesn't do that. What's good for Povetkin is his high workrate and his fearlessness in the ring. What's bad for Povetkin is Fury's movement and length. Pov will find it hard to get set vs Fury.
Povetkin is being hospitalized for second time cause of COVID. He lost huge amount of weight. He will probably need a 1+ year to fully recover and he will be worst, cause of the age. Povetkin is over at top level.
I thought about that match too, but then I compare with Povetkin vs Hughie Fury, where Povetkin had difficulties to land and was chasing Hughie Fury all night long. I think it would be even harder against Tyson Fury. But then again, Povetkin is experienced, he may find his way to land these hooks and overheads.
Bridgerweight isnt a thing I dont agree. Hunter is top class, fast and high ring IQ. Stylistically a difficult opponent for big Tyson
Fury don t fight Sasha or Hunter or whyte for that matter or parker None More abells and sefris and wallins of this world
Povetkin would have only puncher chance. Fury would drop heavy bombs on him repeatedly and win by TKO.
