    This weekend lads.

    UFC 314 - Wikipedia

    Pretty decent card.
Love the 2 main events especially since I am a big Chandler fan.

How do you guys see them?I like Lopes aswell.
Also the debut of Patricio Pitbull vs Yair.
Jim Miller,Darren Elkins and Dan Ige also on the card.Frenchy female badass Nora Cornolle also.

    Thoughts?
Does Chandler take Paddy in a bad place?Or does Paddy s youth get to Iron Mike?

    i like Pitbull and Lopes

Idk about Paddy Mike. it’s 5 rounds so it changes dynamics.

Ige could beat Woodson, but not touching that for betting.

Mitch Roposo is a solid dog pick.

Rooting for Volk, but I think this is it for him. MMA is not kind to old men, especially at the lower weights. Plus two back to back KO´s surely took something out of him.

A Chandler win would be insane given his age, and recent wear and tear.

I slightly favor Pitbull, but it´s pretty much 50/50 for me. I think it will be the best fight of the night.

Little Nazi boy is probably getting stomped.

If Reyes really has his mojo back, then it´s his fight to loose. But he is 35 now, so I expect his age to finally show, I am just not sure it will be in this fight.

Edit: Damn, UFC PPV´s really have gone to ****.
Volk is the headliner for a vacant title fight, coming off of two back to back KO losses...
Chandler is 38 years old, 2-4 in the UFC, and has lost his last two fights - how is he the co-headliner?

The rest of the main card is either old dudes, or dudes in slumps. Except for the Mitchell fight.

I wouldn't say Chandler winning would be insane considering he has been fighting at a higher level than Pimblett in like forever.
He s like the Arturo Gatti of MMA only higher level I suppose. He s popular and entertaining and got Dana White privilege so that s why he s a headliner.

I get why he is the co-main, my question was more rhetorical and to highlight how bad of a PPV this is.
UFC PPV events have gone down in quality over the years. Just look at UFC 300! While it was really fun card, it lacked star power and champions!
They only had two title fights, one of which was a womens fight. The other one was the main event, a fight which they scraped together at the last minute. But eh, OK, something similar happened with UFC 200, so I will let that one slide.
But most cards since then have had just 1 championship fight, and just one card has had two male championship fights... Wtf is going on?

It wasn´t all that long ago when UFC cards had usually 2 championship fights, or at least lots of genuine top contenders going at it. Not some co-main where one guy is on a two fight loosing streak.
No wonder that there are rumors about poor PPV sales.

    Agreed.

MMA fighters have woken up from the slave mentality. They cant keep fighting for peanuts and are more vocal now and harder to deal with in terms of making fights.
With the UFC being obligated to out on cards like every week they are forced to sign ,what maybe a few years ago,a level of fighters that would have not fought for the UFC.
And thus a watered down product.

I think mitchell silva, Yair pitbull, and ige Woodson lines are insane.

Chandler 1-3 in last 4 and he doesn't fight smart. Paddy is huge compared to him. If chandler wins i see an early ko. I'm picking paddy and hedging the other 3 fights hoping one of the dogs win. Woodson flat out sucks. I dont see how ige doesn't get him out of there.

I favor Mike, but Paddy given 5 rounds to search a submission could get him there, Mike has put himself in vulnerable spots with Oliviera and Poirier. In a 3 rounder I think Mike has a higher chance to win a decision and not get tapped. What i'm basically saying is that i think Mike could dominate some wrestling control or win boxing exchanges, but the longer the fight goes, Paddy has a chance to reverse/sweep mike, take his back and sub him in those 25 mins.

Wouldnt the reverse of Mike having more time to KO Paddy exist?

Almost all of Mike's ko finish happen in round 1. It's just the nature of mma, so many grappling exchanges can tire both guys out, that by round 3 they will not have enough in the tank to finish. Could Paddy be so tired to submit Chandler, maybe, but a late Sub has likelier chance. Maybe Mike carries his power late, he got a few decent shots on Charles in r5, but I dont know if Mike really cares about winning anymore as he is putting on a show, chasing ko bonuses rather than fighting smart. you have to think about motive here to, Mike is 38 nearer to retirement, Paddy is trying to climb the ranks and get the belt.

    All correct.
To me it seems Chandler does carry his power and atamina late-ai would say he doesnt carry his calmness that well.He just goes crazy.
Plus I still have doubts about Pimblett s REAL quality as a fighter.

we'll see, i picked Mike to win because of paddy's shotty performances. I just wouldn't bet on it, but if you're asking just for opinion, i can see mike winning.
