The reason I want Usyk to fight Parker next is that J-Park may be one of the only HWs who can force Usyk to fight differently. Usually Usyk forces every opponent to fight his fight. (He did this with Fury). Look how often Fury was on the back foot, getting forced into corners and against the ropes, etc.

Parker changed his whole approach after his loss to Joyce. He massively improved his fitness and stamina. He can now go 12 rounds at full pace. He is also QUICK-HANDED. And fast and elusive for a big SHW. He comes into fights with an unorthodox (and effective) gameplan.

Lately it is J-Park who has been forcing top fighters (Wilder, Zhang) to fight his fight. He takes away their best weapons and forces them to fight at the exact range, style and pace that he wants.

Can he do this to Usyk? Maybe not completely. But perhaps just enough to make life tough for the Ukrainian.

I want Usyk - Parker next. Your thoughts?

Not going to happen imo. If Uysk fights on (which I'm not convinced he will) I believe it's for the big pay day on offer from the rematch with Fury. If he was to fight on beyond the rematch (assuming he beats Fury again) then it would be AJ again. Parker won't generate anywhere near the money he will get for fighting Fury again or AJ.

Parker is a great fight for Usyk. But yeah it’s not happening. the fight to make the only fight right now is Fury 2 for both men.

In that case, Parker's only approach is to get a belt and force those guys to fight him....

I actually think Kabayel would be an equally interesting fight even though Usyk would beat him. But yeah Usyk-Parker would be interesting.

Parker has done the hard yards for a shot to be fair, but it’s not the money fight. The belts will break and he could pick up one.

If the Usyk-Fury rematch never comes together, Parker vs Usyk is probably the most interesting alternative for me. I doubt it will happen with the IBF situation. If Hrgovic wins against Dubois, then I would be very interested in Usyk-Hrgovic as well. But otherwise I am with you. Short of Usyk-Fury II, Usyk-Parker is the fight I'd most like to see right now, and as I see it, Parker has more than earned it the way he has rebounded on this 5 fight winning streak, with the standout victories against Wilder and Zhang marking him as a most worthy challenger as far as I'm concerned.

Usyk isn't that type of guy, I think he will continue but only because he's not terrified of losing his 0, and for morale for his country

The carrot of 40 million a fight makes continuing tempting....if it was a 2 million fight against Parker he would be done

I'd love to see that fight. Be interesting to see how their styles mesh and Parker has earned it more than anyone else tbh

If the WBO splinters off, alongside the IBF

Parker is in the box seat

Any word on Parker's next move?

I do hope he continues to remain active, as I think that's been a big key for him.

Parker is a top lad for sure. And he absolutely deserve his HW shot, but he is nowhere near Usyk, nowhere near AJ, and nowhere near Fury in my book. He just doesn't have the tools to threaten them with anything.
He is still top 5 fighter of this generation with ease. And I'm also putting him ahead of Wilder.

If you look at the overall resume and big fights, Parker and AJ as the 1 and 2 with the best fights, and the best fights where it's matter, not 2-3 years later than it should have happened.
All the credit to Parker, and he should get his title shot this year. If Usyk doesn't want to defend his belt, aka rematch with Fury, he should just drop all the titles, and rematch Fury for nothing. Didn't Fury threaten to do the same, right?

Parker, Hrgovic, Kabayel, all deserve their shots, and shouldn't be forced to wait for years.

Imo a very good fight. Usyk will beat Parker but it will be a competitive fight. Usyk has normally closer fights with guys his size. Parker is a former champ, still young and a top 5 fighter.
Imo very good scalp. If usyk also fights hrgovic (after hrgovic destroyes dubois, future champ after usyk and joshua) and beats him he will have cleaned out two complete divisions and then he would also have the depth at heavyweight. Clear top 5 heavy of all time after that.

No definite news of the WBO being stripped that I am aware of

If it happens, Parker should be champ
