Vergil Ortiz Jr. born 3/25/1998 is a 5'9 Light Welterweight with a 13-0 13 KO's record. Born in and fighting out of Grand Prairie, Texas, USA. Forget Teofimo, forget Kingry, forget Munguia.... you want to see the real Latino Beast of this generation, look no further than one Mr. Vergil Ortiz Jr. Oscar De La Hoya scooped this hot prospect up the moment he turned pro because for better or worse, no matter how much of a scurrilous creep Oscar can be some times, he usually knows talent when he sees it. And its easy to see why Vergil has got the goods, as an amateur, he was a winner at the Junior Olympics, a seven time national champion, and had a fairly impressive record of 140-20. He's dedicated to his craft, he's been boxing since he was 5 years old, and is a gym rat to boot, and now as a pro, he's hooked up with Robert Garcia, and is the sparring partner of Mikey Garcia and Jose Ramirez, so he's learning from the best. Vergil has a thudding authoritative jab, has fairly fast hands, throws from awkard angles, an awkward defense, rolls with and parries punches quite well, is aggressive, but intelligent about it. He's heavy handed as hell, his straight right and hooks to the head are nasty, but his hooks to the body are death blows, they're absolutely savage. Thus far he's violently stopped Rberto Ortiz and Juan Carlos Salgado, neither man are walks in the park, only the most brutal punchers can dispense as quickly as he did. He's the diamond in the rough, that's flying under the radar, and he deserves a hell of a lot more attention than he's getting. Check Out Vergil The Vicious In Action.:ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg

Tonight, he takes a huge step up in class on the Canelo-Jacobs undercard. Will he be the first man to stop El Maesto Mauricio Herrera, me thinks si.

He seems to hit very hard whilst also having good fundamentals, I’m impressed with what I’ve seen so far, I see being able to get the stoppage against Herrera to

Good taste in food, good taste in music, and seems to have a good head on his shoulder, he's confident, yet still humble.

As I said in my OP.... forget Teofimo, forget Kingry, forget Munguia.... well Vergil just forcibly proved my point. KOing an old Ali, so what, KOing no one of not like Kingry, so what, KOing Magdaleno several rounds after Turbo Terry did, so what. KOing Herrera cold on his feet, HOLY ****!

by 2025 vergil will be the unified ww champion of the world. i cant believe this kid has stayed off my radar so long, with as many yt videos ive watched in roberts gym, i should have known all about him. when robert gushed over him i just figured its just a trainer instilling belief in his young student. and hes from texas, ffs.
i can tell from his frame that he will be fighting at jr middle one day, but hes going to make his mark at welter. he is the future of the division.

Vergil's favorite band by the way. But also appropriate.

He just stopped Orozco in 6th, who just went the distance with Jose Ramirez.

147 take note. Vergil will be taking no prisoners only scalps. :ggg:ggg:ggg:ggg
