I thought I saw in a documentary Tyson was a converted southpaw. Anyone know if this is true?

If that's the case, he had to be the best in history at throwing his weak hand from the back. Usually converted southpaws have awesome left hooks but no right hand, but his was deadly.

I tend to think that was a mistake, but I know he could hit hard with both hands, but its generally a lot easier to train your weak hand to do hooks and jabs then it is to throw it from the back.

Tyson was right handed I believe, he always said his right hand was his best punch but he didn't land it all too often.

Yes Tyson was left handed. Although Cus made him fight orthodox. Probably because Cus was an old school trainer, and many old school trainers believed that southpaws wont ever accomplish much.
