Curious about this one...when I got into boxing in the 80s, the middleweights were my focus as Marvin Hagler was the first fighter I really attached to and he's still my all-time favorite.

But I also was really into the featherweights, the first Fenech/Nelson fight among my favorites and drawing me into the weight class.

You don't see much talk about lower than that though, even around a largely knowledgable boxing crowd like here. So I'm curious...what is the lowest weight class you've ever really paid attention to?

All of them. Bantamweight is my all-time favorite division probably followed by featherweight.

Iḿ not too picky, boxing is boxing and one of itś best features is that you don have to be a big guy like you would in football or basketball to be a great fighter. Some people are only interested in heavyweights which is really sad IMO. Most of my favorite fighters were not heavyweights or anywhere near it. Generally most of my favorites have been from featherweight to light heavy, but again all divisions are are important except for the truly stupid like bridger weight etc.

    I unashamedly support heavyweights.
Heavyweights are better. They can beat the others. The smaller weight classes are actually the equivalent of lower, lesser leagues. It is incredible to me that many boxing fans are in denial about that.

Having said that, I love a lot of the smaller division fights, all the way down to mini flyweight. Weight divisions are great and provide more opportunities for equal fights, and provide different types of fight, different styles of fighter.

I follow just about all of them. That being said, I probably pay the least attention to super middleweight and cruiserweight.

I paid attention to Straw weight back in the day when Lopez was fighting and especially when he was fighting Rosendo Alvarez. The lighter divisions can be intriguing when the talent (and the TV coverage as it can be hard to find) is there.

After Heavyweight s, its the Middles /Super middles.
Saying that, I loved the welters in the late 80 s too.

I don't tend to watch much at strawweight or junior fly but then I don't watch much at heavyweight either. Most recently, I was catching up on super flyweight and the series of matches between Roman Gonzalez, Juan Francisco Estrada, Sisraket Sor Rungvisai and Carlos Cuadras that has happened over the last few years, which were great.

Nowadays I follow the welterweights, lots of great talent, too small to behave like Total Divas, but they like to fight, looking forward to Errol Spence vs Terrence Bud Crawford.

112 is as low as I want to go. 105 and 108 are useless additions to the boxing landscape, though I will watch important bouts in those classes and I have seen a lot of Calderon, Lopez, R. Gonzalez, etc.

If these lesser leagues were more talented, skilled and entertaining, sure.

"Skilled" doesn't mean much when those skills can't allow you to beat the thousands of fighters a couple of divisions above.
What matters is who can beat who.
